Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Principle Rs. 3600 ,Rate of interest is

2 2/5 % forthe period of 3 years and

6 months

To find:-

Find the interest on Rs. 3600 at 2 2/5 %

per annum for a period of 3 years

and 6 months?

Solution:-

Principle (P) = Rs. 3600

Rate of interest (R) = 2 2/5 % = 12/5%

Time (T) = 3 years and 6 months

=>T = 3 1/2 years

=>T = 7/2 years

We know that

Simple Interest (SI) = PTR/100

=>SI = [3600×(7/2)×(12/5)]/100

=>SI = (3600×7×12)/(2×5×100)

=>SI = 302400/1000

=>SI = Rs. 302.4

Answer:-

Simple interest for the given problem is

Rs. 302.4

Used formula:-

If P is the principle ,T is the time and

R is the rate of interest then Simple

Interest is SI = PTR/100

Given,

  • Principal = ₹3600
  • Rate = 2⅖ % P.A. = 12/5 % P.A.
  • Time = 3 years 6 months = 7/2 years

To Find,

  • The Simple Interest.

Solution,

: \implies S.I  =  \frac{p \times r \times t}{100}  \\  \\ : \implies S.I   =  \frac{3600 \times  \frac{12}{5} \times  \frac{7}{2}  }{100} \\  \\: \implies   S.I  =  \frac{3600 \times 12 \times 7}{100 \times 5 \times 2}  \\  \\: \implies  S.I  =  \frac{36 \times 6 \times 7}{5}  \\  \\ : \implies S.I  = ₹302.4

Required Answer,

Simple Interest = 302.4
