Answer:

Anhydrous salts are those which have lost their water of crystallization . For example CuSo4 , FeSo4 etc

Hydrous salts are those which have their water of crystallization . For example Feso4.;5H20

     

Plaster of Paris is prepared by heating gypsum(CaSo4.2H2o) at 373k it forms plaster of paris (CaSo4) . (Plaster of Paris  is a anhydrous form of gypsum) and one and a half molecule of water

Reaction which takes place is plaster of paris is again combined with water to form gypsum which is hard .

CaSo4 + 1 1/2 H2O -----> CaSo4.2H2O
