(a.) The standard cell may be represented by ---

Cr (s) | Cr^3+ (aq) || Cd^2+ (aq) | Cd (s).

Therefore ,

E°cell = E°right - E°left

E°cell = -0.40 -(-0.74) = + 0.34 V.

(b.) The standard cell may be represented as :-

Fe^2+ (aq) | Fe^3+ (aq) || Ag+ ( aq) | Ag (s)

Therefore ,

E°cell = E°right - E°left

E°cell = 0.80 - 0.77 = + 0.03 V

Now

delta G for a part

= - n × F × E°

where n= 6 , F = 96500 E° = .34 V

and

delta G for B part

= -n × F × E°.
