=) put √(5 +√5 + ... upto infinity = x

now equation becomes ,

◆ x = √(5+x) ----------------(1)

squaring both sides , we get

=) x^2 = 5 + x

=) x^2 -x -5 = 0

=) This is the required quadratic equation

we can solve this by applying formula

=) x = -b+_√(b^2 - 4ac)/2a
