please answer . very urgent

A charged particle of charge 2 micro C and mass 10 mg moving with a velocity of 1000m/s enters a uniform electric field of strength 10 N/C directed perpendicular to its direction of motion. Find the velocity and displacement of the particle after 10 s.

Explanation:

Considering the charge travelling in the +ve x axis and electric field in the +ve y axis

so the electric field doesnot effect the x component of the velocity so it travells with the same velocity in the x axis ..

for the force exerted on the body towards y axis

F=qE=2x 10^-6 x 10 = 2 x 10^-5 =ma

so a = 2 x 10^-5/ 10 x 10-3= 2 x 10^ -3

so y after 10 sec = 1/2 a t ^2

and similarly u can calculate x after 10 s and get the displacemant and similarly for the velocity.
