so we go by the law of exterior angle / property of exterior angles,

this property says that an exterior angle will be equal to the sum of the interior opposite angles.

in this case since Angle ACD is out of the triangle we consider that as an exterior angle

so the 2 opposite angles to angle ACD which lies inside the triangle is

angle A and angle B

so angle ACD = Angle A + Angle B

= 70° + 40°

angle ACD = 110°
