Hello kids!!

The basic gas used in the manufacture of fertilizers like urea is Ammonia gas(NH3).

NH3 gas is the right answer!!

NH3 reacts with CO2 gas to form urea.This is the reaction used for industrial preparation of urea.

For manufacturing fertilizers like urea we prefer ammonia to other nitrogen containing gases as its easily available,cheap and react readily.
