Probability is the Ratio of number of Favorable Outcomes to the Total number of Possible Outcomes.

When a Dice is thrown :

The Possible outcomes can be 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6

The Square of the Outcome '1' is 1

The Square of the Outcome '2' is 4

The Square of the Outcome '3' is 9

The Square of the Outcome '4' is 16

The Square of the Outcome '5' is 25

The Square of the Outcome '6' is 36

In the above Square outcomes : The Outcomes which are multiple of 9 are 9 and 36

⇒ The Favorable outcomes are the Outcomes of 3 and 6

⇒ The Number of Favorable Outcomes = 2

⇒ The Number of Possible Outcomes = 6

⇒ Probability = 2/6 = 1/3
