Answer:

247 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of any semicircle = \frac{1}{2} the Area Of A Full Circle = \frac{1}{2} \pi r^{2} [r is the radius]

Given that:

\frac{1}{2} \pi r^{2}  = 308

r^{2} = 2 . 308 . \frac{7}{22} = 14^{2}

∴ r = 14 cm

From the diagram:

The length to breadth ratio of the identical rectangles = 3:1

∴ 4 times the breadth = diameter of the semicircle = 28cm

∴ Breadth of the rectangles = 7 cm

and the Length of the rectangles = 3 x 7 = 21 cm.

Perimeter of each of the identical rectangles = 2(7 + 21) = 56 cm

Perimeter of the full circle = 2 x Π x r = 2 x \frac{22}{7} x 14 cm = 88 cm

∴ Perimeter of the half circle = 44 cm

∴ Perimeter of the whole figure:

= Perimeter of the half circle + 4 x Perimeter of each of the identical rectangles - 3 x breadth of the rectangles

= (44 + 4 x 56 - 3 x 7) cm = 247 cm
