Answer:

1)Rocks are composed of grains of minerals, which are homogeneous solids formed from a chemical compound arranged in an orderly manner. The aggregate minerals forming the rock are held together by chemical bonds.

2)Igneous rocks (from the Greek word for fire) form when hot, molten rock crystallises and solidifies. The melt originates deep within the Earth near active plate boundaries or hot spots, then rises toward the surface.

3)Sedimentary rocks are made up of pieces (clasts) of pre-existing rocks. Pieces of rock are loosened by weathering, then transported to some basin or depression where sediment is trapped. If the sediment is buried deeply, it becomes compacted and cemented, forming sedimentary rock

4)(i)Hot fluid or semi-fluid material below or within the earth's crust from which lava and other igneous rock is formed on cooling.

(ii)Ore is natural rock or sediment that contains one or more valuable minerals, typically metals, that can be mined, treated and sold at a profit.

(III)sedimentary rock consisting of sand or quartz grains cemented together, typically red, yellow, or brown in colour.

(iv)Metamorphic rocks arise from the transformation of existing rock types, in a process called metamorphism, which means "change in form".

5)hey help us to develop new technologies and are used in our everyday lives. Our use of rocks and minerals includes as building material, cosmetics, cars, roads, and appliances. In order maintain a healthy lifestyle and strengthen the body, humans need to consume minerals daily.

6)Coal is formed when dead plant matter decays into peat and is converted into coal by the heat and pressure of deep burial over millions of years.
