Hey mate !!
Here's your answer !!
Given :
Two squares with perimeter ratio = 5 : 12
Area of first square = 100 m²
To find :
Area of the second square.
Proof :
Let the ratio of perimeter be 5x : 12x
Now area of square = Side ²
So area of first square = Side ²
=> Side ² = 100 m ²
Taking square root on both sides we get,
= Side = √ 100 = 10 m
Hence side of first square is 10 m.
Perimeter of a square = 4 * Side
=> 4 * 10 = Perimeter of first square
=> 40 m = Perimeter of first square.
=> 5x = 40 m
=> x = 40 / 5 = 8 m
Therefore perimeter of second square is 12x = 12 * 8 = 96 m²
4 * Side = 96 m
=> Side = 96 / 4 = 24 m
Hence area of square = Side ² = 24 ² = 576 m²
Hence area of second square is 576 m².
Hope my answer helped !!
