Step-by-step explanation:

a) Let us assume the linear pair of 140° as 'a' and of 115 ° as 'b'.

Now,

a = 180°-140° (Linear Pair)

= 40°

and

b = 180°-115° (Linear Pair)

= 65°

Now,

x = 180 - (a+b) (Angle sum property of a triangle is 180°)

= 180 - (40+65)

= 180 - 105

= 75°

and

y = 180 - x

= 180 - 75

= 105°

You can do the (b) one following this method

Hope this helps you!!
