Let 1/x= a & 1/y= b
then,, solving 1st.
2a+ 2b= 1/6
12 a+ 12b= 1.... (3)
now, solving 2nd.
3a+ 2b= 0....(4)
a= -2b/3
putting the value of a in 3,we get.
12(-2b/3)+ 12b= 1
=> -8b+ 12b= 1
=> 4b= 1
=> b= 1/4
Now, we have taken 1/y= 1/4 so,✔ y= 4.✔
now,putting the value of b in 4. we get.
3a+ 2 (1/4)= 0
=> 3a+ 1/2= 0
=> 6a+ 1=0
=> a= -1/6
now, we have taken 1/x= -1/6
so, ✔x= -6 ✔
