In ∆ ABC ,
(AC)2 = (BC)2+(AB)2 (Pythagoras theorem)
(AB)2 = (AC)2- (BC)2
= (25)2-(7)2
= 625-49
= 576
AB = √576
AB = 24 cm
Since ∆ ABC is also a right angled triangle ,
Area = 1/2 × b × h
= 1/2 × BC × AB
= 1/2 × 7 × 24
= 7× 12
= 84 cm2
