Explanation:

A ray of light is reflected by a mirror. Reflection follows certain rules. These are; (1) Angle of incidence equals angle of reflection, (2) The incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal at the point of incidence, all lie in the same plane.

A particle, or a ray is deflected from its original path under some interaction.

So deflection and reflection are two different things.
