Patience is a prerequisite for presence of mind.Patience is a state of being occurs between experience and reaction.By cultivating a practice of patience,you're able to let go of things outside your control and live with less anxiety,stress and frustration.
To have a good presence of mind,one needs to have a presence of mind first.And for the mind to be present in the concurrent moment you need to let go off your thinking about your past and future.
