Answer :

Speed of signal = 3 × 10⁸ m/s

Time take by signal to reach at ground = 5min

We have to find distance between spaceship and ground.

★ Speed is defined as the ratio of distance travelled to the time taken.

It is a scalar quantity having only magnitude.

It cant be negative or zero.

SI unit : m/s

First of all we need to convert unit of time.

Conversion :

  • 1min = 60s
  • 5min = 5×60 = 300s

Calculation :

⭆ speed = distance/time

⭆ distance = speed × time

⭆ distance = (3 × 10⁸) × 300

distance = 9 × 10¹⁰ m

Cheers!
