Answer:

15

Step-by-step explanation:

p(x) = x^3 + 2x^2 -x +1

Since, x-2 = 0. x = 2.

Putting the value of x in p(x).

p(2) = (2)^3 + 2(2)^2 - (2) + 1

= 8 + 8 - 2 +1

=15

The remainder in 15.

Plz mark me as the brainliast.

Note: This method only works when there is x has the power of 1 and has a constant.

It doesn't work with x^2. For that u have to do full systematic division.

Answer:

x - 2 \\x = 2 \\ p(x) = {x}^{3} + 2 {x}^{2} - x + 1 \\ p(2) = {2}^{3} + 2 \times {2}^{2} - 2 + 1 \\ \: \: \: = 8 + 8 - 2 + 1 \\ = 15

Hope that it will help you... :)
