some animals have became extinct due to over hunting of them. so slowly slowly they are decreasing in amount. so, those animals who are decreasing in amount due to excessive hunting are known as endangered species of animals

Endangered species need help to prevent extinction. If a plant or animal is extinct, there are no known species of that organism left. You can't help an animal that does not exis.
