DEAR FRIEND,
Ok first part of the question. You can find the refractive index of medium 2 by using this formula:
(Refractive index of medium 1) × (sine of incident angle in medium 1) = (Refractive index of medium 2) × (sine of refracted angle in medium 2)
=> 1 × sin 45° = n × sin 30°
=> n = √2 = 1.41
Now the second part.
Clearly the new medium 1 is of water, so just put the the value of water's refractive index in the equation:
(4/3) × sin 45° = √2 × sin a
=> sin a = 4/3
=> a = 52°
Clearly the Angle of Refraction has increased.
I HOPE YOU UNDERSTOOD IT MY FRIEND!!!
HAVE A NICE DAY!!
