Answer:

Shadow is formed when an opaque object blocks the path of a beam of light, thereby causing the ray not to illuminate the background surroundings of the opaque object. This dark area behind the opaque object is known as a Shadow.

Shadows are made by blocking light. Light rays travel from a source in straight lines. If an opaque (solid) object gets in the way, it stops light rays from traveling through it. This results in an area of darkness appearing behind the object.

there are two types of shadow; a crisp edged one formed by a point source of light and a rather more fuzzy one that is formed by a larger source. The region of deep, total shadow is called the UMBRA and the region of partial shadow is called the PENUMBRA.

Answer:shadow is formed by the light because if the light shines onto an object and object blocks the light the light will go sideways of the object and the the shadow is formed.
