get 12√2 from √288 with details btw it is a Coordinate geometry

Actually, it is not as hard as you think.

The first step is to split 288 into prime factors

2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

No the numbers which have doubles, i.e, for example, the number of 2's here are 5 and the number of 3's are 2. So above each pair of the same number add a line that covers both the numbers. And if we do that we can see that 2 pairs of 2's are covered by the line and one 2 is left out. Moving on to 3. It is perfectly two so none is left out. Now a pair of the same numbers represent only one of the numbers. For example, \sqrt{2*2} we get two ONLY. If we do the same way for the other numbers, we get 2 x 2 x 3. Now keep the left out ones under the root symbol and the others on the left side of the root symbol:

2 x 2 x 3\sqrt{2}

multiplying the numbers outside the root:

12\sqrt{2}
