Given that;

we know that;

So, we need to derive the formula for sin 2A.
Now,
sin 2A = sin (A+A)
Since,
- sin (x+y) = sin x cos y + cos x sin y
sin 2A = sin A cos A + cos A sin A
sin 2A = sin A*cos A + sin A*cos A
★ sin 2A = 2 sin A*cos A
Substituting this in the above one !
2 sin A*cos A = 2 sin A
cos A = (2 sin A)/(2 sin A)
