2. The stranger said to me, "Can you guide me?"

→ The stranger asked me whether I could guide him.

3. He said to me, "We can play tennis tomorrow."

→ He said to me that we could play tennis the next day.

4. "What a violent storm it is!" he said.

→ He exclaimed what a violent storm it was.

5. I said to my friend, "Please wait here till I return."

→ I requested my friend to wait there till I returned.
