A long time ago, there was an old peasant who lives with his four lazy sons in the village. He was a hardworking man and his hard work paid him prosperity. As he was growing old, he was unable to work hard unlike before. Unfortunately, his sons were very idle and never liked to work and hence never been in the field. The old man thought of a plan to teach them the value of work. When he was lying on his deathbed, he summoned his sons and told them that a large amount of treasure lies buried in his long-neglected fields.
His breathing stopped and he died as a result of what he said. They all went to the fields as soon as he died and began digging hard in pursuit of the hidden wealth. They were unable to locate anything. However, by the time the entire field has been dug. When the monsoon arrived, they sowed seeds in the field. They enjoyed a bumper crop that year. They realised that was the true prize. And grasped the significance of their father's remarks
Moral: Hard work is only a thing which always pays off.
