Please convert these sentences from direct to indirect speech:
1) Nitish said to the judge, "Can I not do what I like with the things that are mine?"
2) The Jew said to him, "Why should I be merciful to you when nobody has ever shown any mercy to me?"
3) I said to my friend, "Shall I hurry on and get the tickets if you are getting late?" "Yes", he said.
