Answer:

(i)the formula is  (2m)2,(m2 - 1)2,(m2 + 1)2

smallest no. = 2m = 16

2m = 16

m = 8

m²-1 = 64 -1 = 63

m² + 1 = 64 + 1 = 65

Thus, the Pythagorean triplet is 8, 63 ,65

(ii)Formula=(2m)²,(m²-1)².(m²+1)²

according to ques

smallest number =14

means 2m =14

 m=14/2=7

m²-1= 7²-1= 49-1= 48

m²+1=7²+1= 49+1=50

hence the required triplet is 14, 48 and 50

(iii)Pythagorean triplet is :

2m

m² - 1

m² + 1

Smallest number (2m) = 20

⇒ 2m = 20

⇒ m = 20/2

⇒ m = 10

Finding the value of m² - 1

m² - 1

= (10)² - 1

= 100 - 1

= 99

i.e m² - 1 = 99

Finding the value of m² + 1

m² + 1

= (10)² + 1

= 100 + 1

= 101

i e, m² + 1 = 101

∴ the Pythagorean triplet whose smallest number is 20 is 20, 99 and 101.
