The Path Of Life---By Lola14

A path we walk alone,
A journey easy for none,
A fork at every turn,
From where there's no return.

A path, walked by people of all generations,
No one knows about their destinations,
Among them, some become friends, some become family,
Others walk away unknowningly.

A journey introduced by our parents at some bend,
And we wish for their company till the end,
But they too reach their destination some day,
Leaving us to walk our own path our own way.

A path where some go up, some go down
where one gets nothing while the other gets the crown,
Rewarded are those who sacrifice,
Those who dont always pay the price.

There's a new experience at every bend,
Carrying a lesson to be remembered till the end,
With each day passing, walking on this path,
Fresh new memories get added to our heart.

Someday we introduce others to this way
And lead them as long as we stay.
But slowly we approach this journey's end,
As light is seen at the far bend.

As we slowly approach this light
Our destination comes in sight,
At last comes the day,
When we reach the end of this long, eventful way.
