According to Archimedes principal the water displaced by the substance is equal to the weight of the substance .

WEIGHT = MASS × ACCELERATION DUE TO GRAVITY

W=mg

where,

mass=700 g = 0.7 kg

and acceleration due to gravity= 9.8 m/s²

HENCE, WEIGHT=0.7×9.8 = 6.86 N
