Q1 Let the no. of Rs.5 coins be x
No . of Rs 2 coins =3x
Total No . of coins=160
No . of Rs.1 coins = 160-(3x+x)
=160-4x
So, 5x+2(3x)+1 (160-4x)=300
5x++6x+160-4x= 300
7x=300-160
x=140÷7
x=20
No.of Rs.5 coins = 20
No.of Rs.2 coins = 3×20=60
No.ofRs.1 coins = (160-4×20)=80


Q2. Let the ratio of notes be 2x,3x and 5x
Currency notes of Rs.100= 2x × 100
= 200x
Notes of Rs.50=3x ×50
=150x
Notes of Rs.10=5x × 50
=50x

So, 200x+150x+50x=4000
400x=4000
x=4000÷400
x=10

No.of Rs.100 notes=2x=2 × 10 =20
No.of Rs.50 notes=3x= 3 × 10 =30
No.of Rs.10 notes=5x=5 × 10 = 50
