so.x-2y by 6 = x-8y by 12 (cross multiply)
X-2y×12=x-8y×6
12x-24y=6x-48
12x-6x=-48+24
6x=-24
x=-24by6
x=-4 = 4
X-2y×12=x-8y×6
12x-24y=6x-48
12x-6x=-48+24
6x=-24
x=-24by6
x=-4 = 4
the value of x will be 16 and value of y will be -4
