(1)

Given, a^2 - b^2 = 960 and (a - b) = -20.

⇒ (a + b)(a - b) = 960

⇒ (a + b)(-20) = 960

⇒ (a + b) = -960/20

a + b = -48.

(2)

We know that Area of Square = (Side)^2

⇒ (25a^2 - 40ab + 16b^2) = (Side)^2

⇒ (5a - 4b)^2 = (Side)^2

Side = (5a - 4b).

(3)

Given : Length = x + 7

Given : Breadth = x - 2.

We know that Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth

⇒ (x + 7)(x - 2)

⇒ x^2 - 2x + 7x - 14

(4)

Given, a^2 + b^2 = 4 and (a - b)^2 = 36

⇒ (a - b)^2 = 36

⇒ a^2 + b^2 - 2ab = 36

⇒ 4 - 2ab = 36

⇒ -2ab = 32

⇒ -ab = 16

⇒ ab = -16.

(5)

We know that Area of Square = (Side)^2

⇒ (3x + 8y)^2

⇒ 9x^2 + 64y^2 + 2(3x)(8y)

9x^2 + 64y^2 + 48xy.

Hope it helps!
