Answer:

  • The angle of B=65°
  • Area of a triangle,=54cm²

Given:

  1. In ABC,AB=5cm, AC=5cm and =50°.
  2. The area of the triangle with sides 9cm, 12cm and 15cm.

Solution:

Since,AB=5cm

AC=5cm and =50°

Sum of angles in a triangle=180°

50 + x + x = 180

50 + 2x = 180

2x = 130

x =  \frac{130}{2}  = 65

So, The angle of B is 65°.

Now

Given sides are,

a = 12cm

b = 15cm

c = 9cm

As we know that,

s =  \frac{a + b + c}{2}

s =  \frac{12 + 15 + 9}{2}

s =  \frac{36}{2}  = 18

So,

Area of the triangle,

=s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=18(9)(6)(3)

=18×18×3×3

=18×3

=54cm²

So, The area of a triangle=54cm².
