hey mate!!

MITOCHONDRIA is considered as semiautonomous organ because..

1) it have its own DNA which can replicate independently.

2)mitochondrial DNA produce its own m-RNA , t- RNA, r- RNA

3.it poses its own ribosomes called mitochondrial ribosomes

4) they show hypertrophy i.e internal growth.

5) it synthesis some of there structural proteins and enzymes itself.
