Step-by-step explanation:

14 a. 11^ 1/2 / 11^1/4

⇒  11^ 1/2 ÷ 11^1/4

a^m ÷ a^n = a^m-n - Law of exponent.

= 11^ 1/2 +1/4

= 11^ 2/4 - 1/4 [ after finding LCM]

= 11^ 2-1/4

= 11^ 1/4

14 b. √45 - 3√20 + 4√5

= √9x5 - 3√4x5 + 4√5 [ writing in simplest form ]

= √9 x√5 - 3√4 x√5 + 4√5

= 3 x√5 - 3(2)x√5 + 4√5

= 3√5 -6√5 +4√5

= (3-6+4)√5

= (7-6)√5

= 1√5

=√5

15. (√5+√2)²

(a+b)² = a²+b²+2ab

Here, a= √5 ; b=√2

= (√5)² + (√2)² + 2(√5)(√2)

= 5 + 2 + 2(√5x√2)

= 7 + 2√10

16. It is given that,

AB = AC

∴ ∠C = ∠B (Angles opposite to equal sides are also equal)

Let ∠B = ∠C = x

In ΔABC,

∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180° (Angle sum property of a triangle)

90°+ x + x = 180°

90°+ 2x = 180°

2x = 90°

x = 45°

∴ ∠B = ∠C = 45°

                   Hope it is helpful. Take care.
