a) In ethyne due to presence of triple bond, electron density is very high so it is more reactive than ethane. Also due to saturation ethane is less reactive than ethyne.
b) The ethane is a saturated compound which have only single bond.On The other hand ethene is unsaturated compound of double bond in which the double bonds can break while the reaction of it with any other compound or while the addition reaction.
These double bonds may rearrange their order or gets Hydrogen or any other element during the chemical reaction.
Thus ETHENE IS MORE REACTIVE THAN ETHANE.
c) Hydrocarbons are organic molecules consisting entirely of carbon and hydrogen. They make good fuels because their covalent bonds store a large amount of energy, which is released when the molecules are burned i.e., when they react with oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water.
Hydrocarbons have high calorific value. They are easily combustible and the reaction is highly exothermic. Hence, they are excellent fuels.
