As we know, Resistance of a wire depends upon the following factors:-

  • length of wire
  • thing the wire is made up of.
  • area of the wire

So, as given in the question, if we double the wire on itself then obviously the length of wire would increase. As we know that resistance increases with the three factors, so, resistance of wire would increase.
