Let's say when bucket is half full, its weight is (x + w) kg

where x is weight of bucket and w is the weight of water.

when bucket is completely filled, it has two times the water.

so, new weight will be (x + 2w) kg.

putting in the values of both equations we get -

x + w = 5.375

x + 2w = 10.5

Now subtract first equation from second one we get -

w = 10.5 - 5.375 = 5.125

put this value in first equation,

x + 5.125 = 5.375

=> x = 5.375 - 5.125 = 0.25

Hence the bucket weighs 0.25 kgs
