PLEASE , explain cosx= 3cosy , then 2tan (y-x/2)= ?

answer is cot (x+y/2)
please give explanation.​

cosx = 3cosy

where x and y is the value which we have to find.

Suppose x = 1 and y = 2

cos(1) = 3cos(2)

1=6

Now,

cot(x + y/2)

1 + 2/2

3/2
