Hi!

Here is the answer to your question.

Area of trapezium = 0.85 m2

Length of altitude = 17 cm = 0.17 m

Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( Sum of the parallel sides) × ( Distance between the parallel sides )

∴0.85msq = 1/2 × Sum of parallel sides × 0.17m

⇒ Sum of parallel side is = 2× 0.85msq/0.17 = 10m

Thus, the sum of parallel sides of the trapezium is 10 m.
