endothermic reaction is a reaction in which energy is absorbed and exothermic reaction is a reaction in which gas is evolved along with the formation of product example for exothermic reaction C + O2 gives CO2 + heat example for endothermic reaction CaCO3 heats and gives c a o + CO2
