Assume the no. of Rs 5 notes be x , Rs10 notes be 5y
and Rs.20 notes be y
According to the question ,
x + 5y + y = 45
x + 6y = 45
x = 45 - 6y .... (1)
5x + 10(5y) + 20y = 425
5x + 70y = 425 .... (2)
Substituting the value of x from (1) to (2)
5(45 - 6y) + 70y = 425
225 - 30y + 70y = 425
225 + 40y = 425
40y = 425 - 225
40y = 200
y = 200/40
y = 5
x = 45 - (6×5)
x = 45 - 30
x = 15
Rs. 5 notes are x = 15
Rs. 10 notes are 5y = 5 × 5 = 25
Rs. 20 notes are y = 5
