THE ANSWER IS HERE.

Area of shaded triangle = Area of bigger triangle -area of smaller triangle

=> Area of bigger triangle=1/2×12×9

=> 54sq.cm

=> Area of smaller triangle =1/2×12×5

=> 30sq.cm

Area of shaded triangle = 54-30

hi friend

firstly to find the area of shaded region, ,,,, then we need to subract the area of unshaded triangle from the whole triangle .

area of whole triangle = 1/2 bh

here base = 5cm + 4cm = 9cm

height = 12cm

so, area = 1/2 × 9 × 12 = 54cm^2

now,

area of unshaded triangle = 1/2 × b × h

=> here , height = 12 cm

base = 5cm

so, area = 1/2 × 5 × 12 = 30cm^2

so now area of shaded region = whole triangle area - unshaded area of triangle

=> (54cm^2) - (30cm^2)

=> 24cm^2

there fore, the area of shaded region = 24cm^2
