Answer:

first we go from∆abc

angle a+b+c=180

15°+40°+BCA=180°

55°+BCA=180°

BCA=180°-55°=125°

Now from ∆ECD

Y°=180°-angle C

Y°=180-125°

y°=55°

side EC has been produced to A

AED=ECD+EDC

x°=70+50°

x°=120°

hence

x°=120

y°=55

Answer:

in triangle abc

40+15+a=180

a=180-55=125

here bd is a straight angle

a+x=180

x=180-125=55

therefore x=55

from triangle ecd,

x+52+b=180

55+52+b=180

b=180-107=73.

and actually is a straight angle

b+y=180

y=180-73=107

therefore x=55, y=107..
