The Law of Segregation states that every individual organism contains two alleles for each trait, and that these alleles segregate (separate) during meiosis such that each gamete contains only one of the alleles.

rajpowar4485: the law that the properties of the elements are periodic functions of their atomic numbers. Also called Mendeleev's law. (originally) the statement that the chemical and physical properties of the elements recur periodically when the elements are arranged in the order of their atomic weights.

Mendel gave three laws:-

1:-Law of Dominance:-Out of a pair

of contrasting characters present

together only one is able to express

itself while the other remains suppressed .

2:-Law of Segregation:- It states that

during the alleles separate from each

other So that each gamete can receive

one alleles.

3:-Law of independent assortment:- The law states that each pair of alleles separate independently of each other pair of alleles during gamete formation.

Hope this helps
