The Nightingale and Glow-Worm by William Cowper is about a nightingale who sings all day and then tries to eat a glow worm for dinner. The glow worm points out that he is beautiful too in his own way and the nightingale finds something else for dinner. The author is trying to show that we are all valuable and that we should all be at peace with each other.
