here it goes.
a sentence which has only one finite verb in it is called a simple sentence .
for example : An old Man sat under a tree.
whereas
In compund,
the sentence is made up of two or more principle or main clauses .
whereas in complex,
it says that,
a sentence made up of a principal or main clause and one or more subordinate clause is called a complex sentence

in the simple sentences there is a finite verb and in compound sentences there is more then to principal clause which are join to each other by co - ordinate conjunction . complex sentences have principal clause and more than one sub - ordinate clause................... i think it will help u frd
