muscle tissue consists of elongated cells called fibres . contractile proteins are held together inside cells which contract and relax to cause movement of cells. dese contractile elements are called myofibres . thus muscles also contract and relax in definite direction. hence muscular tissue is a contractile tissue . Muscles r responsible for all the movements in the organism
