The speaker says that he/she will be giving an account of his travel many years later, with a sigh. It means that he will probably be a little sad as well as a little relived while recounting the incident. He would tell of the two roads in the woods, that led to different destinations and how he chose the one that he thought very few people had chosen and how that one choice would have made all the difference.
The speaker imagines himself in the future, recounting the time when he had to choose a path (make a decision in life). He would have mixed emotions- of sadness and relief, both suggested by the sigh. He bravely chose the second path and made a choice that very few would dare to make. So, he fulfilled his appetite for adventure, but not without taking risks. That means he would either have a great life or one an unhappy one. In either case, he would sigh.
