(i) According to the question
let the numbers be x and y
so, x-y=26
x=3y
putting the value of x in equation
3y-y=26
2y=26
y=26/2=13
so,x=3y
x=3×13
x=39
so too numbers are 39 and 13
(ii) Given that let the larger angle be x and smaller angle y
x=y+18°
and x+y=180°putting the value of y in the
equation
y+18°+y=180°
2y=180°-18°
y=162/2
y=81°
x=y+18°=81°+18°=99°
so two angles are 99°and 81°
(iii) let the bats be x and balls be y
according to the question
7x+6y=3800 .........1
3x+5y=1750 .........2
multiplying the equations 1 by 5 and 2 by 6
so,35x+30y=19000
18x+30y=10500
using elimination method
you can the value of x and y
